Our host parents, our 5 host brothers and the rest of the family made us feel at home there very quickly. Through them, we learned about Indian culture and we soon became a part of their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"770\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Blog-February-2020-Volunteer-Voice-3-770x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18527\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the weeks, we are working in a big\nanimal shelter with dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, birds and\npigs. Our main tasks are horse, goat and puppy feeding, horse washing, skin\ncare for dogs and cleaning. And, of course, depending on what is going on in\nthe shelter, we get some different tasks every week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Blog-February-2020-Volunteer-Voice-5-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18529\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since us both love animals a lot, we really\nlike our working place. After 3 months in our host family, we moved into the\nvillage of our animal shelter because our host family lived too far away from\nour project. But since we got very close to them, we stay in contact and keep\nvisiting them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Blog-February-2020-Volunteer-Voice-2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18526\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, we live with a woman who adopted 80 street\ndogs. So we are basically around a lot of animals all day, which makes us very\nhappy. On the weekends and holidays, we like to travel and see as much of India\nas we can.
