In total, I&#8217;m staying for 11 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Educational-drawing-at-Mavinakatte-School..jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18480\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>My project\nis a Government Primary School at Mavinakatte, where I teach the children mainly\nfrom 1<sup>st<\/sup> to 5<sup>th<\/sup> standard. In general, I interact with the\nchildren and encourage them to speak English through language games, simple\ntasks, learning vocabulary, dancing and singing. I also give computer classes\nand training in correct spelling with the older children. In the beginning, the\nwork was a bit overwhelming and challenging, but now I really enjoy the time\nwith the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/School-program..jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18482\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/With-School-Kids.-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18486\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My host\nfamily consists of the parents, 2 younger children and the grandmother. I\nreally enjoy living with them. It gives me the possibility to experience more\nof the Indian culture and traditions like the food and festivals. There is so much\nto see and learn in this country.
