During this time they got the opportunity to learn\nabout coffee making in Coorg. They visited a coffee estate and a coffee factory\nand they worked on the estate. Other than learning about coffee, they spent\ntime with orphan children during Christmas and provided them with lots of good\nmemories in and around Coorg.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-10-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18451\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Here is what the Voltra volunteers have to say about their time at Coorg:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Annie: <\/em>This happy moment made me think of a sentence that I learnt from my secondary school\u2019s prayer book. \u201cWhen the happiness is shared, that happiness is doubled. When the sorrow is shared, that sorrow is halved.\u201d I trust we have just made the happiness amplify. The time with the kids in the orphanage is the most memorable part of the trip. Their smiles and kisses made my day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-15-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18456\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Crystal Yee: <\/em>Give and take. We gave joy and care to the kids. We took love and wonderful memories from them. This is what we feel at Christmas 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-13-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18454\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em> Lika:<\/em> \u201cThe only people who see the whole picture are the ones who step out of the frame.\u201d \u2013 Salman Rushdie. The experience at the orphanage which was my first time and the best moment in this trip and December. Their big smile and trust which acts as a sunshine and made my day. I have heard lots of bad things about India and Indians before.\u00a0 I do trust the best way to see the whole picture is : step out, come here and let\u2019s feel it by yourself!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-9-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18450\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Maggie:<\/em> Genuinely one of the most rewarding and warmest Christmas I\u2019ve ever had &#8211; you will find the purest happiness in the smiles of the children and the beauty of simplicity in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-16-1024x769.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18459\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em> Morning:<\/em> We met as strangers and left as good friends. The moments shared with kids in the orphanage recalled my inner kid and awakened my deepest happiness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-17-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18458\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tiffany:<\/em> India will forever hold a special place in my heart. In less than a week I got to indulge in all the love and energy everyone there has &#8211; it truly is the land of beautiful smiles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"909\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-14-1024x909.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18455\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Maya: <\/em>There is a saying in Chinese. \u65bd\u6bd4\u53d7\u66f4\u6709\u798f. In English, that means it is more blessed to give than to receive. The moment we shared with the kids is the precious thing that I have received during the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Voltra-Coorg-Dec-2019-5-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18446\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Charles:<\/em> Life is simple but I could feel the happiness and joyfulness from them. Let off boundaries, forget about race or language or anything that is differing from us.
