What all these inventions had in\ncommon was their independency from the power grid. Even though many of the inventions\nshown in this event were technical machines with the need of energy supply, SELCO\nFoundation managed to make them all sustainable in the 3 different aspects they\naim for. Including the ecological one, this means that there should be no\npollution produced by the products. They achieved this by attaching the Roti machine,\nthe electrical rice polisher, the fridge and all the other equipment to a\nbattery powered by a solar panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_130837-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18336\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_142531-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18337\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important\nfor SELCO Foundation to follow all the dimensions of sustainability. Apart from\nthe environment, they also make sure that the objects they are promoting are socially\nfair. For instance, one of the machines that was originally planned to be\npowered by solar too, was reconsidered. Since there are several jobs relying on\nthe work of running the machine manually, SELCO Foundation went with a model\nthat still uses manpower. The machine was improved in efficiency and is also\neasier to manage, but the social perspective being kept priority, the same number\nof workers is still needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_130435-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18333\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_114056-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18327\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course,\nanother main goal to make all these products available around India is the economical\nside. SELCO Foundation wants to empower self-employed workers in small or\nfamily businesses, especially in rural areas. They are independent from big\ncompanies and might struggle to keep track with the development in modern\ntimes. By providing the support of machines and clever inventions, SELCO Foundation\ncontributes to higher productivity, so that the businesses can scale up their sales.\nThe result is also saving expenses and time by changing to electrical and\/or\nfaster production solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_130432-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18332\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_113409-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18326\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to\nmake it possible for the small family businesses to invest in the new\ntechnology, SELCO Foundation has teamed up with an independent bank that\nprovides loans for funding without demanding documentation and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_121104-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18330\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>SELCO Foundation\nalso cooperates with a lot of local organisations, in order to be able to reach\nout to the people in the rural areas. This is key to success, since the local\norganisations also can strengthen the trust built relationship needed in order\nfor the small entity entrepreneurs to be willing to take a chance and invest in\nthe SELCO solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/20191223_130755-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18335\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The things SELCO\nFoundation test and present are inventions from all around the world or\ncombinations of those. They always keep up to date with the new technology.
