I
learned a lot of things about Indian habits and I shared beautiful daily
moments with the family. Moreover thanks to the life in a host family I can
understand the difference between village life and town life. It’s very
interesting.

During the work time we learned a lot of things about the
construction. We were helped by two masons and some inhabitants. People are
very helpful. They offered us some tea and biscuits every morning. They are
very kind. It’s very great to work in this village.

Also, we spent time at school to play with kids and to
teach them some English words. They are very appealing and energetic. We shared
games and dances with them and they taught us some games too. I will really
miss them.

Then during the weekend, we were free, so we could visit. For
example, we went to Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore It’s very easy to travel in
India. You just have to go to a bus station and say the destination and get on
the bus. We also played cricket in the village of our great coordinator, Manju.
He was here for us all the time. He also served us as a coordinator at the
village and at school.

This humanitarian experience is unique, unforgettable and rich.
