Ms Marielle Risson, FSL-India\u2019s volunteer\nf\u1e5bom France helped us at Baby Sarah\u2019s Home (a residential home for persons with\nAutism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, Multiple disabilities and Orphan\nchildren) for a period of 3 months, from 11th April 2019 to 27th June 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marielle provided her valuable\nservice at our Home for the orphan and destitute, children with Autism,\nCerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities by teaching,\nassisting at the special school, and training our students in various games and\nrecreational activities. She involved herself in the daily routine activities\nof our home and in various recreational activities for the disabled and orphan\nchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSL-India\u2019s volunteer initiated and\ncompleted an 8 path Sensory Integration Park for the welfare of our children\nwith special needs at Sarah\u2019s Special School, initiated a Sensory Integration\nPark at Baby Sarah\u2019s Home and initiated an Inclusive Planting Project at\nVeerampatinam Beach, where nearly 40 saplings were planted. She involved and\ntrained children with special needs in watering and protecting these saplings.\nShe assisted in taking Kavithai Sathya and Saranya Devi from the Girls Home and\nMarudhu, Vincent and Mukesh from the Boys Home to Sarah\u2019s Special School. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marielle implemented the skill of\nart and drawing to bring changes in some of our special needs children,\nassisted our Special Educators by taking our children to the beach, walking and\nother outdoor activities and worked for the welfare of our disabled children.\nShe helped us a lot in the functioning of the Speech Pathology Department, the\nfunctioning of our Physiotherapy Unit, provided focused attention to Loyala\nRaj, an autistic child and Kavithai Sathya, a Cerebral Palsy adult. She helped\nto carry beach sand and other materials from nearby places for the Sensory\nIntegration Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marielle truly contributed a lot\nto the fulfillment of the basic needs of all our children which helped us to\nfunction more professionally and purposefully. She helped some of our dependent\nchildren to eat food, wash their hands and plates and also changed their\nclothes. She involved our children with special needs in sports and painting\nactivities and also provided a few valuable suggestions for the better\nfunctioning of Baby Sarah\u2019s Home and future volunteers from FSL-India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
