Apart from being the\nhome of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama and a considerable Tibetan\npopulation, it has many beautiful tea gardens. Internationally known for Kangra\ngreen tea, Dharamshala produces a wide variety of teas including black tea,\ngreen tea, oolong tea and white tea. The camp ran for 2 weeks at Dharamshala, from 4th-17th March 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" various\nactivities in the Dharamkot Government\nPrimary School, i.e. a Yoga session every morning at the home base\naccommodation, the renovation of classrooms, art and craft with children,\nschool wall and educational paintings, cleaning the school grounds and a waterfall\nclean up drive with a local NGO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" exchange\nprogram, in the 2-week camp, every afternoon our volunteers visited local cultural\nplaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" with\na campaign called \u2018Keep Your City Clean\u2019 by cleaning the Bhagsu waterfall with a\nlocal NGO called Waste Warriors. The volunteers were also involved in other\nactivities like creating awareness about nature, and also gardening with the children\nat the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190306_114712-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15898\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_9534-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15903\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190312_160607-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15886\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The\nvolunteers had the opportunity to interact with Tibetan monks. They also took\npart in a Tibetan cooking session.
