For that reason, many women were\ninvited to join this celebration. Around 25 women attended, most of them were\nteachers from schools FSL-India works closely with, women from the neighbouring\ncommunity, female members of the Host Families, and other friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0463-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15613\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0385-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15605\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The day was\nprepared thoughtfully between FSL-India\u2019s staff, volunteers and the master\nstudents that are doing their field work at our CEL. Each of them put in their\nefforts for the plan, and everybody had their own special task to make the day\nspecial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0324-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15598\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0459-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15612\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0372-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15603\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, all\nthe women were welcomed and taken to the Meeting Hall, where a welcome speech\nwas given. A traditional Hindu welcome was followed by the lighting of some big\ncandles, and giving flowers to all the attendees. Moreover, one student sang a\nbeautiful song. After that, some videos related to women\u2019s rights and gender\nequality were projected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0443-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15611\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0396-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15607\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0435-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15610\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, some\nenergisers and group-bonding games were waiting for them in the dining area,\nwhere we formed a beautiful circle of women. Everyone joined in the games and the\natmosphere was full of joy. Some games included playing with a ball, with water\nor drawing blindfolded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0370-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15602\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0392-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15606\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FSL-India had\nprepared some gifts for the attendees, consisting of bags made of reused fabric,\nwith a steel plate inside. This gift was to thank the women for coming, as well\nas spreading the message of avoiding the use of plastic, with alternatives such\nas these bags. Furthermore, they were all gifted with a lemon plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0338-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15599\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0381-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15604\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/DSC_0484-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15614\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After\nsome group photos to remember this wonderful event, there was a nice time with\ngoli bajjis (Indian snack) and kokum juice, which everyone enjoyed.
