We came to FSL-India for an internship based on some\nmajor social issues that we wanted to work on. Being law students, we have\nalways identified the areas that need urgent care and support for community\nwelfare and development. This is one of the major aims of FSL-India &#8211; Community\nDevelopment. We worked in the organization for 2 months and fulfilled our\npurpose to a certain extent, but more appreciable is whatever we learnt working\nin the organization, from the staff and our colleagues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The focus points for our work were Child Rights and Women\nEmpowerment. Creating awareness on the laws &#8211; child rights, women\u2019s rights and\nother basic laws was where the work started. Conducting sessions at schools,\nexpanding the knowledge and bringing more and more people under its ambit was\nsuccessfully achieved. We are glad we had a chance to work on legal social\nissues that require immediate attention. However, our list of activities goes\nfar beyond, since we were also learning community living there while living in\nthe experiential centre at Kundapura, Karnataka. From sustainable agriculture\nand Ayurveda, cultural visits, interacting with new people to teaching in\nschools, helping at the migrant tent community centre and making new friends;\nit was worth working at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FSL-India is taking a fantastic initiative in rebuilding\nthis world and bringing the required transformation by laying a foundation at\nthis place. We are glad we had an opportunity to work with them. We look\nforward to having more, similar experiences at the same, or a different place,\nso we can contribute&nbsp;our share of efforts to the welfare of the community\nand social services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are 2 Law students, Ujjwal and Vikas, from Delhi, pursuing BA LLB (Hons).
