Hello to one and all! My name is Raju. Since April 2018, I am working\nat Nisarga Grama, Sparsha Trust. As the person in charge of Nisarga Grama, I am\nresponsible for all the 133 children which are living here at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the morning. the children wake up at 6 am to do yoga and their prayers. After that. they get ready for school, eat their breakfast and leave for school around 9 am. Between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm, when the school is over, the children come back to Nisarga Grama, where they will wash their clothes, drink their milk and around 5.30 pm, get classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0For that, I get help from our other 9 staff members. With me, there are 5 teachers for the children and we have 5 kitchen workers. At the moment, we also have 2 German volunteers, Charlotte and Marthe, from FSL-India with us. Their tasks here are mostly helping me with the administration work, teaching English and Computer skills to the children and the staff members, and taking care of one dormitory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As I am a handicapped person, the help I get\nfrom the girls is really important for me. Their help is not only important for\nour administration work, but also their English and computer skills are helping\nour children to improve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As an example, I want to tell you about our  \u2018Joy of Learning\u2019. Every January, we have a\nhuge event called \u2018Joy of Learning\u2019 where all of our 6 shelters compete against\neach other. Therefore, we have cultural and educational competitions. With the\nhelp from our volunteers, the children from Nisarga Grama scored top results in\nthe categories of Science, Environmental Lover and Spelling. In all these\ncategories, our children competed in English, which made them stand out from\nthe other participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So for that, I not only want to thank our volunteers, but also FSL-India to make it possible to have such an exchange and gain for our children. Thank you once again, and we wish you all the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
