I am Ajith Kumar, working as a Weltw\u00e4rts volunteer, for the German Red Cross. Right now, I am working at Meschede,\nin an Old Age Home, as an in-house technician. I arrived in Germany on the 21st\nof November 2018. When I reached Frankfurt airport, the wind and the climate\nwas really cold. But it was a new experience for me, because suddenly, I needed\nto adapt to the climate. Two German people were waiting for us, and then we met\nthe volunteers from Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started our journey from the airport by car. First, we got something\nto eat, and after 3 hours, we reached M\u00fcnster, where we stayed for a week. Then,\nwe went to a farmhouse, where we stayed for 5 days, and there we needed to cook\nfor ourselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the seminars, we had a lot of games and then visited the cities. We\nhad German classes and also had classes about politics and German history. On\nthe 30th of November, we went back to M\u00fcnster, where we met the team from our\nworking organisation. Their names are Th\u00f6rsten Gockeler, Vorvinkel and\nChristina. We had lunch together and after lunch, we left to Meschede by car,\nand that took us about  2 hours. When we arrived,\nthey showed me my room and my working place and told me to come to work on the 3rd<\/sup>\nof December. The 1st and 2nd of December, I was in the city looking around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found a supermarket where I always go to buy something or the other, and\nfound a restaurant where I always eat lunch on Saturdays. Till now, I have travelled\nto Bielefeld, a small city or town in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My working time is from 8:30 am-4:30 pm. My first work was fun, and I learned\na lot of new things like how to fix a heater. I had a holiday on the 24th of\nDecember till the 26th of December, because it was Christmas. I celebrated\nChristmas with my friends and cooked food. Then, on New Year\u2019s Day, I also\ncelebrated with friends and saw a lot of firecrackers and lights in the\nsky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
