Valleys of the Himalayas \u2013 This small paradise on earth is home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to a significant Tibetan settlement in India. Dharamshala is set in the backdrop of the snow-clad peaks of Dhauladhar Mountains. It is the capital of the Tibetan government-in-exile and the residence of the Dalai Lama.<\/p>\n

The Camp: The project aims to provide sanitation and safety wall facilities to the schools and the community, a clean environment for the community which is being affected by tourist influx, the lack of an efficient waste management system and watershed management systems. In addition, the project aims to create awareness of the Tibetan migrants and their culture.<\/p>\n

FSL-India has conducted regular camps throughout the year, for the last 9 yrs, with the purpose of bringing a sustainable model in the hilly terrain, with the partnership of the School Management Committee, Waste Warriors, Tibetan Welfare Office and the local Municipal Office.<\/p>\n
