In a Health Check-up Camp the community members have their basic health checked, i.e., BP, weight and height and they are asked about their regular health challenges.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/20150118_043542-low.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13312\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/20150118_043542-low.jpg\" alt=\"20150118_043542 low\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->Last week, FSL-India\u2019s Centre for Experiential Living conducted one of these camps at our Yedthadhi migrant community, to check the inhabitants\u2019 health and, if required, to provide them the right medicine. 32 people in total, i.e. 22 adults and 10 children, were checked and received treatment &#8211; mostly fever, cold, and skin problems were diagnosed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG20170611122938-low.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13314\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG20170611122938-low.jpg\" alt=\"IMG20170611122938 low\" width=\"1000\" height=\"700\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Firstly, a Spanish school class conducted a session on health and hygiene. They were informed about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet, like eating more variety of vegetables, etc., to emotional and community health. FSL-India organised this camp to raise the awareness of the community regarding the importance of a check-up, especially for the children, all of whom suffer from worms in the stomach.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Yedthadhi-health-check-up-camp-HBP-low.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13315\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Yedthadhi-health-check-up-camp-HBP-low.jpg\" alt=\"Yedthadhi health check-up camp-HBP low\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Afterwards, Dr. Mamatha, the local doctor in Yedthadhi, checked all the tent community members free of charge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FSL-India is really grateful to \u2018Recogida de fondos por India\u2019 (fundraising conducted in Spain) who sponsored all the medicines required for the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is a Health Check-up Camp?
