{"id":10713,"date":"2016-06-23T11:18:41","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T05:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/?p=10713"},"modified":"2016-06-23T11:18:41","modified_gmt":"2016-06-23T05:48:41","slug":"my-experience-in-india-as-volunteer-marie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/my-experience-in-india-as-volunteer-marie\/","title":{"rendered":"My Experience in India as volunteer- Marie!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My name is Marie, I\u2019m from\u00a0Belgium and I spent 2 months as a volunteer in Mangalore, South India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Marie-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10715 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Marie.jpg\" alt=\"Volunteer-India\" width=\"276\" height=\"207\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the beginning it was a bit difficult as there are so many differences between India and Belgium but now I\u2019m used to the hot weather, the food, etc. The only thing I\u2019m still not used to the crowded buses! But India is a wonderful country full of colours, music, religions and nice people! It was for sure a great experience! I worked at Inchara Foundation for Project Angel,\u00a0a project against child sexual abuses. The team was really nice with me, it is a small team with only 3 people\u00a0and they work on many projects. I helped them by making some communication materials and organizing with them an event to inform people about the Project Angel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I had also the opportunity to visit some schools, orphanages and other NGO in or around Mangalore. I had sometimes<a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Marie-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10714 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Marie-1.jpg\" alt=\"Volunteer-India\" width=\"282\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a> to work on my own because the team was very busy\u00a0on other projects. During these 2 months I stayed at Leena\u2019s house in KC road. Leena is a very nice person and was always trying to help me. She lives with her uncle as her husband is working abroad.
