My name is Anna Maria Fink.\u00a0I am 19 years old and working in the Mariella Children\u2019s Home for one year as a social worker.\u00a0 In this orphanage there are about 50 children. 30 girls and 20 boys.<\/p>\n

\nI am working in the morning from 06:30-09:00 and in the afternoon from 17:00 to 20:30 o\u2019clock. In the morning I am helping my contact person with the kitchen work. This means I am cutting the vegetables, clean the dishes or helping her with cooking. After this I am serving the food. Furthermore I help the children cross the street when they are leaving for school.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon time I help preparing the food for dinner.\u00a0 This means cutting the vegetables or helping with other kitchen duties like washing the dishes. Moreover I help the children with their homework. If they are writing exams I learn with them for English or maths. So if they have any questions in the subject English or maths they can ask me.\u00a0If I work on the weekend I oftentimes give English class. This means that I am teaching some English topics to the children, or play some English games with them. Furthermore I help the children with their duties. So if they need any help in any situation I help them. Also if the children have free time we sing, dance and have fun together.<\/p>\n
