Kundapur- January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The camp theme focused on Sustainable Agriculture\/Yoga\/Kids.There were total\u00a0of 5 volunteers with 4 Koreans and 1 French.The main objective was to give an\u00a0exposure to the volunteers about the sustainable agriculture activities at our training Centre at Shetrakatte, Kundpura.Meanwhile the volunteers learned about\u00a0Yoga and other cultural aspects of India.They also took part in activities in school\u00a0based on Plastic and Waste Management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the first day,the volunteers attended orientation and had a general idea about \u00a0their camp and Indian Environment.Our Home Based Project Team Co-ordinator\u00a0Jeevan and Team Leader Mohammed Ismail described about the program\u00a0schedule of the camp.\u00a0From the next day,volunteers indulged in many activities in school and training\u00a0centre based on waste management and sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10161 alignnone\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the school,Volunteers cleared a waste land full of plastics and created a kitchen\u00a0garden along with the support of HBP Volunteers.They also made a waste water\u00a0channel which will fulfill the water needs of the kitchen garden.\u00a0In order to manage the kitchen waste that is generating in the Mavinakatte\u00a0Primary School,volunteers constructed a compost tank of 4 x4 ft length.<a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_20160118_132322.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><a indulged in many activities viz.,Nursery\u00a0Management,Renovation of Fruit plantation pits,weeding,mulching and planting\u00a0saplings etc.,and got an exposure to organic way of farming with the low cost\u00a0investment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_20160119_080445.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" the school children on the\u00a0theme of Environmental pollution\/Agriculture and distributed prizes for the same.\u00a0Through cultural visits and Indian family visit,Volunteers came to know about the\u00a0Indian family system and gained exposure on Indian culture.\u00a0Over all,they had a fulfillment of experiencing a wide range of activities and they\u00a0brought back the memories and
