Trick or Treat..Halloween day!!

Trick or Treat..Halloween day!!

On 31st October, the scariest evening, Yes! Hallow evening, YDP  celebrated Halloween day with 40 YDP participants. In partnership with Lahe Lahe, a recently created expression space to promote” creativity, dance, music and art ” based on value-exchange rather than money-exchange. Lahe Lahe is an Assamese phrase, which means something like “Hacuna Matata”.

With our best costumes and scariest faces we celebrated the night with some belief ” the boundaries between the world of the living and the dead overlapped, the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc!”

After a period of reflection and planning of all our activities and new projects to come this party was an amazing beginning to gather all the volunteers in a space where we feel at home and free to express ourselves.

IMG_9396Nithya and Marta started a beautiful and terrifying storytelling session telling us some halloween stories from all over the world, interpreting them with some flamenco and bharatanatyam moves followed by personal stories that still gives us goosebumps! All our tricks and sweet sweet treats made us know more people from different contexts, different ages and gave us energy to start a new projects that we are planning for some time with a fresh and renovated soul!

Now let’s burn some calories and be fit and healthy!
