Before conducting the puppet show we held a school session on sea turtle conservation, turtle species, the importance of turtles, threats for turtles, their food chain and life cycle and the responsibility of the community to save them. In this session 158 students participated. They interacted with volunteers very well by asking many questions related to sea turtles. Afterwards we conducted a quiz competition for students and they answered questions about sea turtle conservation. The children enjoyed it a lot, and at the end they were given prizes for their answers form the volunteers. Through this activity students developed greater awareness about sea turtles.
