Sea Turtle Conservation Work Camp at Kundapura

Community Participation in Mural Painting at Parampalli School

1 (1)In December 2012, the work camp on Sea Turtle Conservation ensured participation of local community in each and every activity to build ownership of the project. During mural painting, one of the favorite activities of the volunteers, local school children were involved enthusiastically to motivate the volunteer. In this regard 8 volunteers, 48 children (22 Boys and 26 girls) and 3 FSL-India staff participated in Mural Painting at Parampalli School. In addition to this school staff members were also involved in the process. They drew mural painting about the issue of save sea turtle and protect sea turtle eggs. After Mural painting we explained to school children about the importance of conservation of sea turtles.
