Pink city- Jaipur camp- July
The volunteers led by the team leader, Arkesh worked with Badodaya Basti government secondary school. The school has more than 180 children and the camp mainly focused on ” Environment / Kids/ Culture”.
It was not just a fun and games. The volunteers decided to paint and decorate the class room of these children. In two weeks these motivated volunteers interacted with the children, engaged them in various activities and also taught them Basic English and environment activities like cleaning the school play ground and conducted drawing competition on environmental issues.
Another interesting aspect of this camp was the interaction between the Indian family and the volunteers of FSL-India where the volunteers and had an interactive session about culture aspect, local customs and belief etc.
Rajasthan, with its rich heritage and culture also had a lot to offer to these enthusiastic volunteers. They enjoyed the Henna Sessions and the volunteers also visited city palace, Jal Mahal and Amber and Jaigar fort and monkey temple
