LTV-Orientation, Kundapur

In the month of August, the LTV Orientation was held at Youth Training Center, Kundapur. FSL India has hosted 52 Long Term Volunteers from 2 different countries (Germany and France), it was like a festival season for the duration of  a week.

Volunteers have gone through different practical, theoretical and outdoor sessions as a preparation for rest of their successful journey in India. All the volunteers actively took part in each session. The FSL facilitators has taken extra care in organizing this orientation week. Some sessions include Project Introduction and activities in projects, country presentation, conflict management, roles and responsibilities, understanding peace, Hindu philosophy, Culture, India and Indian life style and preparation with the coordinators.

Also as a part of Intercultural Learning (ICL) two of our experienced Host families were invited to share their experience and to talk about the daily life in Indian family. Besides that two of our existing eleven LTV volunteers were invited to share about their experience in India.

Every evening we had organized different ICL events like Henna, Bollywood movie, Kundapur Town tour. The volunteers also had a chance to present about their country and conduct some activities in projects.

We all LTV staff, consider this orientation to be a success. According to the volunteer’s feedback, we have received a positive comments. Everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and the result.
