GTG blog article – Bangalore region- April, 2015

The LTV get-together for the month of April has been organized in Bangalore on 16th and 17th 2015 in Avadhoota datta peetham (Mysore). There were twelve volunteers and four FSL-India staff members participated in the get together.

Avadhoota datta peetham is a world-renowned institution for the social, moral, cultural and spiritual welfare of mankind. Avadhoota Datta Peetham also part of the parrot rehabilitation center (shuka vana). Shuka vana most importantly gives shelter to injured & uncared birds with a high degree of commitment and compassion. Also Bonsai garden (Kishkinda) is an exquisite collection of more than 450 carefully shaped and miniaturized trees.

On 1st day of GTG started with Indian family introduction and “lunch with Indian family.  After lunch all volunteers went to Exposure visit in Spiritual and bird care center. Everybody had a good time with natures. Second day of the Get together, we had a project evaluation with the volunteers. The objective of this evaluation is to know the cultural difference between western and Indian culture. Each volunteer drew the picture about intercultural learning and explained and collected all volunteers feedback.
