FSL-India, Annual meet-2015

FSL-India in collaboration with Play for Peace organised three-day training for the staff. The event was organized at the training center of FSL-India, Kundapur from May 19 to 21, 2015. A total number of 40 staff members of FSL-India from various regions participated in the training.

The primary objectives of the training are: 1) promote togetherness and a sense of community, 2) renew the members’ commitment to the organization, 3) set goals and objectives to improve organizational operations, and 4) to promote peace through practicing play for peace activities in our programs. During the annual training FSL-India staff members learnt and played 27 different games which focused on team bonding, conflict management, energizer, promoting peace and team building exercise. As a result of this exercise FSL-India decided to integrate this into different programs which are highlighted below:

In Work Camp, Play for Peace activities can be introduced in orientation. In LTV program, Play for Peace activities can be introduced in orientation, Quarterly/Mid-term/Final Evaluation, Contact Persons’ Workshop, get together and school sessions. Similarly in Dream Village Program, for Peace activities can be introduced for facilitating Children’s Parliament and Community Workshop. In Home Based Project, FSL-India can introduce Play for Peace activities for conducting: 1) Tent school through sessions, 2) environment awareness through Eco clubs and 3) Community awareness workshop through Sea turtle conservation. In Youth Development Program, Play for Peace activities can be introduced through group bonding activities to the chapter members.

Play for Peace envisions to ignite learning initiatives in regions around globe, networking as one unified community that contributes to a more peaceful world. Indeed Play for Peace has been operating in many countries. Partner members can contact and collaborate with national chapter of Play for Peace and promote similar objectives.
