The Youth Development Programme of FSL-India will be conducting its second Skills Acquisition Workshop in the month of December. The workshop will be on First Aid Training, certified by the Indian Red Cross Society Karnataka.

 

First Aid training is important when faced with an emergency situation even in our everyday lives. Being equipped with basic first aid knowledge, an individual can respond quickly and effectively to such emergency situations; thus preserving life, preventing further harm or the preventing a condition from worsening. This first aid training workshop will cover emergency situations to do with asphyxia, bleeding, poisoning, fractures, burns, and unconsciousness, amongst others.

     The workshop will be conducted on the 6th and 7th of December, 2014 in the premises of the Indian Red Cross Society Karnataka, which is located at 26, Red CRPSS Bhavan, Race Course Road, Madhava Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560001. An examination will be conducted by paramedic professionals on completion of the two day training. Participants will be officially certified by the Indian Red Cross Society Karnataka, which is signed by the President of India. This certificate is valid for a period of 3 years, which means the participant is officially qualified to administer first aid in an emergency situation.
