The month of June witnessed our Team conducting COVID-19 Training and Awareness programs for local communities, as the Government eased regulations during Unlock 1.0. Besides distributing Hygiene kits and training community members on hand-washing techniques, we sensitised them about COVID-19, Prevention measures and Safe practices, managing Stigma and discrimination. Our initiative has been well received by community members and local Government officials. Here is a clip highlighting our work in the local Udayavani newspaper dated June 7th:
FSL India, an international service organisation visited Gopadi Koraga community to spread awareness on how to protect themselves from COVID-19. With the help of a presentation, they explained about the beneficial usage of sanitiser, soap and masking. A free medical kit was provided to 20 people from the Koraga community.
Venkatesh, Dinesh, Santosh and Namma Bhoomi Panchayat Raj Expert Mr Ganapathi Bhat, Gopadi Panchayat President, Koraga community leader Ganesh, and Grama Panchayat members Babitha and Ganesh Puthran and Gopadi Panchayat President Saraswathi Puthran attended this meeting.
