Michael Bogatzki, AFS-Germany’s Program Director 18+ and Sigrid, his wife visited our Centre for Experiential Living (CEL) at Kundapur, along with Rakesh Soans, President of FSL-India, on 16th March, 2018.
At the end of March, FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL), Kundapura celebrated Women’s Day together with 28 women from the local community, staff and volunteers. This was sponsored by the Spanish Foundation, “Recogida de fondos por India”

On the 2nd of March, the volunteers and staff of FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL) came together to celebrate the festival of colours – Holi.
It’s cold outside, the snow has been falling for weeks and I can hear my father walking to our garden to get wood in order to set up the fireplace in our living room. I’m wrapped in my warmest blanket, watching the snow fall outside my window.
On 25th January 2018, Victoria Lovelock (Vicky) – Director, CCIVS, France (our network partner) visited FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL), Kundapura. This was a mainly a recce trip for the forthcoming General Assembly of CCIVS, as well as the 70th-anniversary celebrations of CCIVS, which will be held at Kundapura, in November this year.
In the beginning of February, FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL), Kundapur received “new” mattresses for their accommodation.
FSL-India organised a cultural trip for the HMC group members on the 5th day of the program. In this cultural visit, we took the Happy Movers to a historical site and also visited the metropolitan city of Bangalore.
On 30th January, once again, FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living, Kundapur conducted a session on Health & Hygiene for adolescents at Shettrakatte, as well as career guidance in the medical field.
On 19th January, under the leadership of Manjesh BM, Field Officer, and Manjunath B, CEL Coordinator, FSL-India organised a plastic waste collection rally jointly with the Neralakatte Gram Panchayat, to create awareness on Plastic Waste Management.
Beekeeping or apiculture is one of the world’s oldest occupations and has been in existence since antiquity. It is relatively inexpensive and hugely rewarding, as the benefits are many and varied. FSL-India decided to engage in beekeeping due to the increasing global problem caused by non-organic agriculture, i.e. the loss of pollinators, which are, just as the targeted pests, killed by the pesticides used.
In the month of January 2018, FSL-India LTV Bangalore region organized for a Cultural Event (CE) at Pondicherry, Kanchipuram, Mysore, and Bangalore zones, under different themes.
The LTV monthly cultural visit was held on 18th January 2018 with Alexian, Lola, and Eugenie who work on the Sea Turtle Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture projects at FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living, Kundapur.
