AWARENESS TRAINING FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS & CHILD CARE MOTHERS IN THE DREAM VILLAGE PROJECT-VALLAKOTTAI PANCHAYAT

The FSL-India, Chennai facility, On 27th Feb’ 2016, in its Dream Village Project (DVP)  had organized an awareness training for the adolescent girls and Child care mothers at Vallakottai Panchayath.

Mr. Yesudoss from FSL India has facilitated the training in the village community hall. Ms.Siriyapushpam from Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) was invited as resource person to motivate the participants on the importance of healthy practice for adolescent girls to be observed during and after their menstrual periods and the nutritious food to intake for both adolescent girls and the child care mothers to nurture their babies.

She insisted the necessity and the importance of mothers’ inevitable role to breast feed their child for a healthy growth and holistic development right from the first day of their birth up to six months of the babies’ minimum. She also explained the importance of the yellow milk to feed the baby that spring out from the mothers’ breast as soon as the baby born. She also explained about various government schemes that the girls can avail for their marriage as well as after the child birth to care for both the child and mother.
