‘Anemia Control’ and ‘Hygiene Promotion’ programmes were conducted and organised in 5 villages at Sriperambudur block, Kanjeepuram district. These programmes are funded by Apollo Foundation and being implemented by FSL-India during 2016-2017.

FSL-India has conducted several awareness programmes for anemic women of both severe as well as moderate haemoglobin (HB) status. The women were educated on the importance of the nutritional value of food to improve their health status. FSL-India gave a demonstration on healthy food which is affordable and accessible. Through these different programmes 370 women, i.e. 71 with severe and 300 with moderate HB status were benefited in the month of January 2017.

Through these activities, the very poor, anemic women in these villages were benefited. All the beneficiaries sent their greetings to FSL-India and Apollo Foundation and their grateful thanks for the opportunity to participate in such an advantageous programme.
