Do you know how to make the learning of Menstrual hygiene effectively among the adolescent girls?! Here is the ANSWER with us through the CSR initiative of APOLLO TYRES HANDS WITH FSL INDIA.

As a part of Health and Hygiene activities undertaken through this initiative, creating awareness on menstrual hygiene among the adolescent girls also one of the ongoing process throughout the year. The activity based module of the sessions make the girls learn the menstrual hygiene through participation. They are taught on the biological changes, gender aspects, biological process of menstruation, how to manage with the menstruation, hygiene aspects to be followed during menstruation.

The whole curriculum is designed in participatory method to make them learn innovatively. Totally about 150 post puberty girls and 60 pre puberty girls of High schools at Mathur and Sennakuppam in Kancheepuram district  of Tamil nadu get benefitted throughout the year. The curriculum is designed session by session to be taught throughout year till January 2016.

Let us break the BARRIERS and TABOOS…!! Let us make the space for girls to SPEAK OUT and  learn Menstrual hygiene as normal as it is….!!
