A complete, colorful feeling about this country, tradition, culture and lifestyle – Candy & Jobi, Education University of Hongkong

We are a group of 17 from Education University of Hongkong who visited India on a leadership development program at Hurulagurki near Bangalore International Airport. Break Free – Ashwini G, 100th Monkey Programme Manager, FSL India

Have you heard the story of an elephant being tied to a pole with a rope? Where the elephants could, at any time, break free from their bonds, but for some reason, they do not! Coz, “when they are very young and much smaller, they used the same sized rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them, but as they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope…

Through them, we learned about Indian culture and we soon became a part of their family. During the weeks, we are working in a big animal shelter with dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, birds and pigs. Our main tasks are horse, goat and puppy feeding, horse washing, skin care…
