Sweden’s 16 year old Greta Thunberg was nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for fighting global climate change. Inspired by her efforts, FSL-India, an international organisation, hosted an informative workshop at Mavinakatte High School. 100 Turtle Eggs found at Maravanthe – Times of India, Mangalore dated 21.03.2019

Alerted by the local fishermen, FSL-India’s Sea Turtle Conservation team rescued 100 sea turtle eggs found at Maravanthe beach. Along with the Forest Department, a hatchery has been built and we are eagerly waiting for the turtles to hatch. Rakesh Soans, FSL-India’s President spoke to Times of India, Mangalore about our FSL-India’s efforts to protect this beautiful marine creature.

On the 26th of March, FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living,  Shettrakatte was full of volunteers. The Final Evaluation for some German Long Term Volunteers, coming from Mysore and Kundapura area, was going on. FSL-India’s staff Manjunath also came from Mysore for the same reason.
