Once again, on 21st July, FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living, Shettrakatte conducted a session on Health & Hygiene for adolescents, as well as stress management in the medical field. The session was conducted for the 11th standard girls (27 students) of Nempu Pre-University College.
This was a 1-day session, from morning to evening. In the morning before the session, the FSL-India team took the students for a CEL tour and explained about the activities of CEL. They also conducted a Play for Peace activity for them. This activity aims to bring together children, youth and organisations, using cooperative play to create laughter, compassion, and peace.
The students were interested in FSL-India’s SAP-K, STC & Tent School projects and they asked many questions about our projects.
The students learned about health and hygiene (physical and psychological), menstrual cycle problems, puberty problems, stress management and suicide prevention. These are all sessions conducted by the doctors of the Psychiatry Department of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
The students interacted very much with the facilitator and were very much involved in all the sessions. They said that it is very useful for them for their educational career, as well as to deal with life’s challenges.
These sessions are being conducted thanks to the support from the fundraising for India conducted at Spain. FSL-India is very thankful to you all!
