FSL-India is well-known for the Happy Move Camp organized and implemented every year, in collaboration with national and international partners – KIA Motors Company, South Korea, Hyundai Motors India Foundation and BWO-Better World Organization, South Korea.
The preliminary process of the 20th Happy Move Camp was successfully completed with the support of FSL-India’s stakeholders – Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The theme of the camp is “Education and Renovation”, focusing on Community Development, to be implemented in nearby schools.
So, 4 schools were selected in Anantapur for the various developmental works and educational activities planned. The camp will be conducted from 29th of January-8th February 2018. It is managed by the Department of Education and is located in the rural areas of Raptadu and Penukonda block of Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
On 27th January 2018, the formal orientation for Indian volunteers was conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Anantapur. As part of an intercultural exchange of the 20th Happy Move Camp, 16 NSS students from Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University were selected to participate in the International Volunteer Program in collaboration with the Korean volunteers.
C Doreswamy, Joint Director of FSL-India, the team leaders and NSS-students from JNTU Anantapur.participated in the Orientation. The volunteers were given an introduction to FSL-India, our CSR program, about the Happy Move Camp, our partnering organizations, standard procedures, roles, responsibilities, and activities. The Indian ‘Happy Movers’ actively participated in the pre-orientation session organized by FSL-India and were motivated to support the entire camp by this session.
