To start the new year, on the 2nd of January, FSL-India conducted another Community Training at our Centre for Experiential Living (CEL), Kundapura for women from the surrounding locality.
The training was in the preparation of paper products that our volunteers and staff use to raise funds for the Tent schools supported by FSL-India.
The women attended the session to gain skills and knowledge in producing paper products, so they could contribute towards FSL-India’s fundraising initiative.
4 local women attended the training, conducted by Geetha from CEL. The women learned how to make many products out of paper and cardboard and decorated them. Some of the products they made are stationery holders, visiting card holders, photo frames and examination boards.
Geetha showed them how to arrange everything and taught them step-by-step how to prepare the boxes. Then they spent some time to relax with some chai and had a lively discussion.
Everyone made beautiful products and were pleased with the results. The women found the training interesting and useful and said they would continue to make paper products at CEL to contribute towards FSL-India’s fundraising initiative for our Tent School.
