Orientation at Bangalore – December 2017

In the month of December 2017, FSL-India hosted 4 Long-Term Volunteers from different countries, i.e. France, Switzerland, and Italy.

Orientation - Bangalore (1)

For this orientation, FSL-India organized different events for the exchange of ICL (Inter-Cultural Learning). The sessions conducted were a traditional ‘Indian’ welcome, introduction to FSL-India, local language class, practical information, Indian lifestyle, safety and project information, the volunteer’s role and responsibilities. The volunteers had a chance to participate in a henna application. It was observed that the participants were interested to know about Indian culture and practices. The volunteers actively participated in the orientation.

 Volunteers’ feedback on Orientation week:

* It was really cool

* I learned many things which I didn’t know

* I think this week is essential for a volunteer

* Very good, I had been feeling good with the other volunteers and the staff good welfare

* For me it was a good week, we had to share our fears and expectations and we know about us

* I am more prepared than before my arrival, it brought me a lot of things
