Milagres College MSW students’ visit to CEL

After FSL- India`s HBP team from CEL visited Milagres College back in October to conduct a session on Sustainable Development Goals, the college decided to send 25  students and two lecturers to CEL to learn more about FSL-India.

IMG-20171116-WA0090  The session started with some energizing games for a motivational beginning.

Afterwards, the FSL-India coordinators gathered everyone in the meeting hall to give a presentation about FSL- India. The focus of the presentation was on the main work FSL-India is doing, our work towards a sustainable future and how our organisation promotes global peace.

The students also learned that the purpose of voluntary service is not just the work itself, but also the promotion of cultural exchange and the hope to erase prejudices from people’s minds and educate them about community living.

After that, the students also received a brief introduction to the LTV Program and the different programs at FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living.

To end the session, our staff showed everyone around the premises and explained to the students about Sustainable Agriculture, as well as community living.

At the end of the session, the students as well as the lecturers were very pleased with the visit and thanked FSL-India for the great experience at CEL.
