FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living, Shettrakatte is back on track with Health and Hygiene sessions for adolescents!
After 2 months’ break due to Dussehra and Deepavali holidays and exam time at school, we have re-started our Health and Hygiene sessions conducted in our Centre, for high school children from our neighbouring villages.
This time, 42 boys from 8th standard, from Mookambika High School, Mavinakatte, took part in it, from morning to evening, and they learned about personal and community hygiene (physical and psychological), stress management, exam preparation and even sexual abuse, from doctors and interns from the Psychiatry Department of KMC, Manipal.
This session has been conducted thanks to the support of a lovely German family and their friends. Gesine and Anika, former FSL-India volunteers from Germany, visited us with their parents and family friends a month ago, 1 year after they left India. When we told them about these sessions and the possibility to sponsor them, they did not hesitate. We are extremely thankful to you, it is a pleasure to count on human beings like you, happy to support this type of projects. It would not be possible without people like you!
FSL-India looks forward to many more sessions!
