FSL-India’s LTV team organised a “Contact Person & Host Family Workshop” on 14th November 2017 at CODP, Mangalore. The contact person and host families from Mangalore, Karkala and Puttur attended the workshop.
The workshop started with energizers and games. It was really nice to see that the participants enjoyed themselves and played like children.
The CPHF workshop mainly focused on safety, group discussion on how best the host family and the project can involve volunteers in their homes, suggestions, feedback on the host family, contact person handbook and creating an advisory committee on a zonal level.
The session was conducted in smaller groups so that the maximum information can be collected. The participants read the documents and discussed the issues in the group and highlighted some important points.
It was observed that the participants enjoyed the games, energizers and group discussion. In the end, the participants gave the feedback that they enjoyed the day and at the same time, they overcame their prejudices.
The LTV staff of FSL-India consider this workshop to be a success because the participants’ feedback was very positive. Everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and the results.
