FSL-India’s, LTV team organised a “Contact Person & Host Family Workshop” on 13th November 2017, at FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL), Kundapur.
The contact persons and host families from different places attended the workshop. The workshop started with energizers and games and the participants enjoyed themselves and played like children.
The CPHF workshop mainly focused on safety, group discussion on how best the host family and project can involve volunteers in their homes and workplaces, suggestions, feedback on the host family, contact person handbook and creating an advisory committee at the zonal level.
The suggestions were collected in smaller groups so that the maximum information was collected. The participants read the documents, had discussions within the group and highlighted some important points.
It was observed that the participants enjoyed the games, energizers and group discussions. In the end, the participants gave the feedback that they enjoyed the day and at the same time, they did away with prejudiced thoughts.
All the LTV staff of FSL-India consider this workshop to be a success. Moreover, according to the participants’ feedback, it has actually been successful. Everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and the results.
