In the month of October 2017, FSL-India LTV-Kundapur organized Mid-term Evaluation (MTE) for our Long Term volunteers at FSL India’s Centre for Experiential Living (CEL). The event took place between 26th-27th October, in which 5 volunteers from AFS Germany took part in the evaluation.
The main objective of the MTE is to create a platform for the volunteers to evaluate the progress made in their project, based on the expected outcome. The LTV team organized different activities like rotation system which contains the host family portrait, project evaluation, and friends in the community. We also discussed their personal development and outlook on the future.
On the second day, we had sessions about the project evaluation graph method, chart evaluations, culture, intercultural learning and finally, an open discussion. We also conducted some games and energizers to make the evaluation more interesting.
FSL-India’s LTV staff consider this evaluation to be a success. Moreover, according to the volunteer’s feedback, it has actually been successful. Everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and the results.
