YDP’s Book Drive

The first chapter of the Book Drive was kick-started in February 2017. FSL-India’s Youth Development Program helped a Naxalite-affected school in Kapsi, Chattisgarh set up a library. Posters were put up in colleges and book stores in and around the city to encourage people to donate books. Goobe’s Book Republic in Bangalore was one of the biggest donors for the bookdrive. World Heritage Volunteers’ Camp – Natural Heritage Conservation at ‘The Great Himalayan National Park, Kullu

In this camp, FSL-India had 6 international volunteers from different parts of the world, i.e. England, Italy, Belgium, Canada, South Korea and the Russian Federation. The volunteers worked with GHNP officials in ‘Sainj wildlife range at an eco village called Rapa, from 10th August-28th September, 2017. They had a warm welcome from our field staff and along the local community people at the forest guest house, through a traditional Kulvi cultural welcoming ceremony on the first day of the camp….

Work Camp 628 – To create a sustainable community and motivate kids to overcome stage fear !!

FSL-India organized a work camp from 11th-24th September 2017 at our Centre for Experiential Living- Kundapura. The theme of the work camp was Sustainable Agriculture, Yoga, Culture & Kids. During the first week of the camp, there was a warm Indian welcoming ceremony with our field staff from the centre. The Centre promotes a field-based, non-formal educational learning, community stay, involving agricultural activities and experiential learning methods.
