The focus of the camp’s theme was on Construction/ Environment/ Tibetan Culture/ Kids. There were a total of 20 volunteers. The main objective was to give exposure to school activities, Tibetan culture, and construction of the school playground, with a temporary wall and educational drawings at Middle Primary School, Talnoo Naddi, Dharamshala.
The Centre for Experiential Living at Kundapura, is endeavoring day after day, to develop new techniques of sustainable agriculture and adapt the other existing methods, which are now given up by the rapidly growing tech-savvy society. The aim of the project is the exposure of these methods of utilising the resources available naturally, without jeopardising the interests of future generations, to the world at large, to ensure the longevity of natural resources.

And for one more month, FSL-India is happy to inform you about the successful Health and Hygiene session conducted at FSL-India’s Centre for Experiential Living, for high school children from our neighbouring villages.
In August 2017, 15 international volunteers from Europe joined the 2 weeks long ‘Blue Mahal’ work camp at Jodhpur Rajasthan, organized by FSL-India.
It’s got a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Like the name, the workshop was everything on the lines of fun. A workshop on Hula Hooping, unheard of for most of us. We, at FSL-India’s YDP love offbeat events like these. What was targeted at a bunch of us FSL-India YDP members, ended up drawing attendees from far off places!
From 5th-25th July, 14 teenagers and I went to India, for some of us for the first time, to participate in a sustainable agriculture program, for the implementation of a water harvesting system and in an educational program.
LTV team, Kundapura organized the final evaluation for long term volunteers. The evaluation was held for 2 days from 2nd – 3rd August 2017. In total, 13 volunteers from IJGD participated in this evaluation.
LTV team-Kundapura organized a Quarterly Evaluation (QTE) for Long Term Volunteers. The program was held for 2 days, from 27th-28th July 2017. In total, 5 volunteers from AFS & IJGD took part in this evaluation.
I am proud to be a part of the wave of feminism and enthusiastically joined the team of FSL-India, who organised a workshop on women rights at Vandse PU College, Kundapur, on 30th June 2017.
