After these three days of learnings and fun, the FSL-India team is back to let you know that 9 children from the local area joined the summer camp at the Centre for Experiential Learning, Kundapur.
More kids were expected, but since one local school called most of them for exams, there were some last-minute cancellations. This gave the team the chance of having a more close-knit summer camp and given these kids are older ones (6th-10th standard), they had loads of nice conversations, which raised the maturity and intensity of this camp.
During these three days, the team conducted several group bonding games, educational video watching, a session on sea turtle and ocean conservation, agriculture related activities, a drawing competition, some activities to learn about recycling (waste paper and plastics bottles) making the ‘best out of waste’ and different ‘funny’ games.
The children had a lot of fun while learning about cooperation, sharing attitude, sustainability, environmental protection and community social responsibility.
Again, this type of camp had children from different backgrounds (schools, religions, villages and castes) playing, interacting and respecting each other. This was the last summer camp in this season but FSL-India is looking forward to receiving more children in CEL soon.
FSL-India is highly grateful to ‘Recogida de Fondos por India’ for the sponsorship of this program, from materials required and prizes for the kids, to the meals for the children. The team cannot forget to say thank you also to Diego Marin Libreria for the donation of school material, which was given to the children for their participation in the camp. This would not have happened without your support!
