FSL-India Organized Hand in Land work camp at Kundapura from 7th to 20th November-16. The theme of the work camp is Agriculture, Yoga, Culture & kids.
During the first week of camp conducted Indian welcome, worked for Medicinal Garden preparing with Fencing, Tomato transplanting, Compost Filtering, Paddy field and nursery Maintenance in FSL-India training centre, visited 2 Tent School, Kundapura town tour, Painting and educational drawing at school, Had yoga session.
First week of the camp Did Beautiful fenced Medicinal Garden and Kids activities at Mavinakatte Kinder Garden total 28 kids and 2 staffs and country Presentation, Happy Hearts at Kanyana Gudde Angadi School and Totally 32 Children, 2 School staff, 2 Kitchen helper and 7 SCDMC Member took initiative in this program. Visited cashew factory to know about cashew-nut processing and had interaction with workers, nursery management activities by filling bags and transplanting 16 Tomato samplings, Medicinal Planting Garden Preparing, Visited Nammaboomi local NGO, henna culture activity, conducted country presentation of Greece country children were curious to know about other countries, Bollywood dance facilitated by Team Leader. Kanaka Jayanthi Day visited Baikady Tent School for Participating Children Day Program, Koteshwara Kotilingeswara temple, Koteshwara Lake, Hanuman statue and visited Indian family on Festival time had Dinner with Indian Family and participated in Tulasi Festival. Planned all activities completed by team work. During the camp Ms. Valeria from Greece and SAP-K German volunteers and team leader Mr. Dinesha, Ms. Marta and TC volunteers & staff took part in this work camp.
Volunteer enjoyed having hand in experience and having interaction with school children. Also she was very Enthusiastic and interesting working in weekend too. Enjoyed the work and understanding about different cultures. Mavinakatte kinder Garden, Gudde Angadi School, SAP-K TC appreciated the effort and contribution of volunteers.
