On November 14th FSL India Kundapura, Rukmini shedthy(?) MSW students jointly organized Children’s day at Yedthadi tent school for the tent school children. India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day every year.
This year FSL-India organized a special program for migrant children. We decorated the Tent school with a shamiyana, balloons and flowers. First we conducted many games for the children which were greatly children enjoyed and many won prizes
In the afternoon some local sponsors provided a nice lunch with sweets and fruits. During the stage function a Tent School volunteer shared her experience about working with Tent School children. Prizes were distributed to the winners and everybody felt very happy. All the children were given a gift from volunteers.
LTV, HBP, Training center, work camp staff, Tent school and HBP volunteers, Tent school volunteers and MSW students organized this program really well. FSL’s efforts were much appreciated by parents and members of the local community.
