Keep Lalbagh Clean

The “Keep Lalbagh Clean” Initiative is a public project handled by the Youth Development Programme of FSL, that aims at Promoting Environmental sustainability and raising public awareness for the botanical gardens of Lalbagh. The project is aimed at all those who visit it during key events like the flower show during Independence Day or Republic Day.

Normally tent children will not get a chance to celebrate Christmas and new year, for that FSL-India’s tent school team planned to celebrate, on 25th of December – 2014. We Celebrated Christmas in tent school by making Christmas trees and distributed sweets to the children. The  30 students and one special task. This motto headed the Eco-club session on  22 and 23 December 2014 at Anjuman school Kundapur. This time the students were requested to become engineers creating their dream house,  beach or town in a sustainable way.

Indian participation to move the world globally : 14th Happy Move Camp Orientation to Indian Participants

FSL India Chennai Facility conducted Orientation for Indian Volunteers on 7th January 2015 in Hyundai Motors India, Irungattukottai, Tamil Nadu. There were 30 Students (15 male and 15 Females) were participated in the orientation from four different colleges such as DG Vaishnav arts college, University of Madras, Madras School of Social Work and Madras Christian College.

Mr. Klaus visited Kundapur FSL-India Training center on 17 th and 18 th December 2014. On 17 th he visited to Gangolli  hatchery site and also observed mural painting done by HBP and work camp volunteers. On 17th of December, the awareness program on Menstrual Hygiene was conducted in Sindhi colleges, Chennai. It was organised by the Sindhi College Students who are doing their Internship in FSL India Chennai Facility. In the last two weeks the Sea Turtle Conservation Team conducted drawing competitions in three different schools (Kanchogodu, Maravanthe, Kodikanyana) with turtle related topics. Students from 5th to 7th Standard took part and created very nice drawings. Every standard got its own topic with rising levels of difficulty to higher standards.
