As a social organization, FSL-India always believed in the joy of giving and serving, and since “Holi” is that time of the year, where one shares joy, happiness and strengthens the bond of love and friendship, we decided to share this beautiful day with one of our Street and Orphan Children project – “Sparsha Trust” in Bangalore. On 27th of March, the team of FSL – India and a batch of 11 Volunteers from Germany visited “Sparsha Trust” to celebrate the most fun-filled and lively Hindu Festival – Holi.
As soon as we entered the premises of “Sparsha Trust” all of us could feel the festive spirit in the air. The excitement of the children and color in their hands depicted how amazing the day would be. Though, we had planned to conduct some warm up games before we started splashing color on each other, the children definitely had other plans in mind. All of us were welcomed with a splash of bright Blue color and thereafter there the child within us knew no bounds. A carnival of colors followed – Everyone looked like colored painting canvases and their faces unrecognizable, Hairs were dyed in different shades of Pink, Orange, Yellow and Green, the atmosphere at “Sparsha Trust” was intoxicated with laughter, fun, and joy.
Towards the afternoon and all of us tired and hungry, we decided it was time for some snacks and for some music and dance with the children. The children sang wonderful songs and danced on some famous tracks. FSL- India also donated – Notebooks, Pens, pencils and other stationeries for all the children at “Sparsha Trust”.
This wonderful day at “Sparsha Trust” was undoubtedly a day of unadulterated joy and delight with fun, music and dance, and, of course, lots of vivid colors!!
